Vantage will upload custom rubrics. Please send to support@writeahead.com. WriteAhead will generate feedback for each of the traits within the rubric, aligned with your criteria. The ability to upload your own rubrics is in the product roadmap.

Most students use Google Docs, Microsoft Word 365, MY Access! or IntelliWriter to compose their essays and submit assignments within Canvas or other LMS systems. When you review the document submitted in Google Workspace or Canvas, you will see the WriteAhead icon at the bottom of the document. Generated feedback can be easily modified before insertion into the student’s document.

The feedback is directly aligned to the writing type and rubric. In addition, the essay is run through IntelliMetric to determine the writing level (on a 6-pt genre rubric, holistic and for each trait).  This combination of genre writing rubrics and IntelliMetric model against the LLM provides the most targeted, personalized feedback for the student writer.

WriteAhead works by combining the essay text, writing type, IntelliMetric  scores(holistic and trait) and running this against a Large Language Model(LLM). This results in the generation of instructional feedback specific to the essay.
